I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto (UofT). My research at UofT is involved with electrocatalysis and carbon dioxide conversion to fuels. Before joining UofT, I spent a year in the Department of Materials at Imperial College London as a Research Associate, working on developing operando spectroscopic techniques to study the chemical degradation mechanisms in Li-ion batteries. I also conducted a postdoctoral appointment at Western University (London, Canada), where I developed in-situ Raman imaging technique to study the reaction mechanisms at electrode/electrolyte interfaces in alkali metal-air batteries.
I completed my PhD in materials engineering focused on designing and fabricating three-dimensional nanostructured air electrodes for application in alkali metal-air batteries. I combined electrochemical measurements with a variety of spectroscopic techniques to reveal the electro/chemical reaction mechanisms in alkali metal-air cells.
