Full Virus Panic (FVP) is a simple arcade style game. The player controls a defender cell to destroy a never ending legion of incomming viruses, protecting the flow of red transport cells. It has a unique two button control scheme, and cartoonish 2D graphics.
FVP was developed using MS Visual C# Express with GSE and XNA.
People Behind
Jacky Li did the programming, and James Hwang created the original game art, found the sound and music. The game logics and design was done collaboratly.
History
FVP was originally an entry in the Game Making Deathmatch 2006 of the Game Programming Club of University of Toronto. The theme of the contest was "The stress of a red blood cell during the preparation for an incoming virus attack." The unfinished game made 10th place out of more than twenty games. While the alpha version that went into the contest worked fine, it was missing many of the features that made it fun. Just as much work, if not more, has been put into the game after the contest was over to polish it up.
