Hotel Pellegrino |
The Hotel (or Albergo) Pellegrino was formerly located in Via Vetturini 86 (now Via Ugo Bassi 7). Queen Clementina (wife of King James III and VIII) stayed a night here at the time of her marriage by proxy. 1 Afterwards she lived in the Via Larga, near the old walls, behind Santa Maria Maggiore. The hotel was destroyed by bombing in 1943. 2 Notes 1 Alice Shield, Henry Stuart, Cardinal of York, and His Times (London: Longmans, Green, 1908), 149. 2 "Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart", http://www.cavazza.it/vedereoltre/2001-1/maria_ch.htm; "Indice Mostra Mozart a Bologna", http://www.luigiverdi.it/indice_mozart.htm. |
