CPT3: Bounty Hunter Showdown

Bounty Hunter Showdown

From evite:

It's time for CPT3...

This is a BOUNTY game. The purpose of this game is not necessarily to be the final player with chips on the table, but rather to eliminate as many other players as possible!

$10 buys you a "bounty chip", which has an actual cash value of $10. The other $1,000 in chips you are issued have no cash value. When you go "all-in", you must include your "bounty chip" in the pot. Whoever wins the pot keeps your "bounty chip". You only ever risk one (your originally purchased) "bounty chip". All others you accumulate get cashed in when you're eliminated from the tournament. You cannot use your bounty chip in any other way (e.g. for betting purposes or to rebuy chips).

Notice that the "last player standing" keeps his/her "bounty chip", plus must acquire the 2nd place player's bounty. However, another player could be the top money winner if he/she eliminates more players throughout the tournament. The point system used in the rankings will reflect both your finish in the tournament as well as the number of bounties you score.

Blind structure and other details are available at the CPT web site (http://individual.utoronto.ca/jdunford/CPT/). Don't forget to check out the rankings. In addition, please take a minute to answer the poll questions below (see evite). In particular, I'm thinking of hosting a private "Tournament of Champions" game for winners (or perhaps 1st + 2nd finishers) every 6 months or so, and I'd like some feedback. Don't worry; I'll happily host it even if I don't qualify! So far, the "Tournament of Champions" looks like a heads up match between ______ and ______ (see evite)! Who will end ______'s winning streak?

Hope to see you at CPT3! Good luck.
