Jean Liu

I am an enthusiastic, effervescent undergraduate student at the University of Toronto. I am specializing in a program called Earth Systems: Physics and the Environment, with a focus in Geophysics, and a minor in English Literature.

I am interested in continuing in graduate studies in Earth Systems or Environmental Geophysics in coming years—to be honest, I can’t wait! I hope to, one day, (hopefully soon), study problems such as local and global sea level rise in a warming climate, and possibly even the sociopolitical impacts of such sea level rise.

More broadly, I am also interested in the computational modeling of crustal deformation problems and responses, since sea level (as well as ocean– and climate– dynamics systems) can be affected by long-term crustal responses.
