Singapore
In 1979, my dad was studying Prosthetic
Dentistry in the UK when I was born... I am not sure when I returned to Singapore
but I started Primary School in 1986 at Methodist Girls' School. Unfortunately I don't have pictures from that era(1986-1991) but I remember my friends very
fondly - Corrie[my first friend!], Charissa, Jane, Penny, Joanne, Boon,
Charlene...
Corrie: my neighbour in Cali...when
you haul-ass up here eh??? Possibly my longest friend ever. knew her since
Primary 1 and our family has been really closely intertwined. wow, what a
blessing we're still in touch eh?
Snorty & Melliepoo: party

here's to more late nights of gossipping and yakking and icqing. you guys are
hella fun and dont have too much fun without me!
Also a quick shout-out to
the great people at
Normanton Park, the hood where I grew up at ...
Ruth, Debbie, Caleb, Kef (i'm glad we're connected again! you're mah
online guru!), Hanarah, Selena, Gerald (get ur ass over on msn lah!), John, Shermeen
and whoever else I played with at the playground that I might have forgotten! I had the good fortune with
meeting up with Corrie time and time again while she is a resident in L.A. This
one was took very recently at her pad where her mum made famous chicken rice.

this summer.
Also my childhood Singapore Life Church friends with whom, Thank God, I am still in contact with - ChrisI, ChrisII(not in pic), Jiaen and Priscilla. I remember the annual church camps that we would all look forward too and the great times we had at church choir on friday nights. we've all grown up quite a bit eh? Chris, still a great friend to me and breakfast kaki while I was in singapore. Thanks also for being a online prayer buddy. that's really something specil. :) Ahh.. finally got pics from this summer...

amazing hospitality to her home at yong an park and the endless hours of
karaoke. jane for just being the friend who's always there for me. there's more
to this crew actually... auntie lai, pamela hui, eileen etc.
Ida & June: THings have changed so much since those days but i remember
the times we've had very fondly. June for being the greatest "lao-gong" haha of
secondary school and Ida for FORGETTING me all those years since Lu Wei. JK. Ida
for her long letters and crazy ideas. stinx, we have it good now and I thank the
Lord for working in our relationship of late.

Emile: hmm.... emile

and very very generous and caring. It was always so comforting to know that
Emile was around cos he always makes you feel special and good about yourself.
My Bestest Friend, Nat...It brings tears to my eyes to think about how far the Lord has led us. I wished we could live our dream-life that we always fantasize about (house, beach, glass windows, california) but when I think about how the Lord has blessed us in the last 9 years, I really couldn't ask for more. Thanks for always being there for me. You've read me like a book a thousand times! I dedicate this page to you and I hope you know how much I love you. Keep your chin up babes. We've both had our hearts trampled on but hey, at least we've got one another always. Like Wilson Phillips said, "Where your last thought ends, my next begins." xoxo
We have eyes like twins
Where your last thought ends my next begins
always
Just one heartbeat away From everything I mean to say oh
Catch me I'm falling for you
Wish for me I'll come running to save you
Touch me I'm calling
for you Remember me,
I will never betray you We have eyes like twins
Along with Nat came bundled her posse... Lisa and Tracy. We had a kick-ass time in KL and also hung around alot. Tracy's currently still in Singapore and man, she's one chick I can totally rely on. Tracy's also known for her famous mee goreng skills and being one of the most generous people I know. Lisa - a very special friend to me and definitely someone who's here to stay in my life. Also someone who connected with me on so many different levels in such a short period of time. Very rare indeed. This summer has definitely been a blessing to me because of the addition of 2 such wonderful people into my life. I love you both to bits. another common thing we all have is ...Love for FOOD.
p.s. I *try* not to mention ex-boys. but it doesn't mean that they meant nothing to me. *wink*
