Tedd Konya, BS, MAT, MPH

Tedd Konya is the Research Technician for Dr. Scott. His primary technical work is with the Canadian Healthy Infant Longitudinal Development (CHILD) Study. Tedd has been involved with the processing of 14,000 dust samples collected from 3,500 homes in Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, and Toronto. Currently, Tedd works on DNA isolation, PCR amplification, and sequencing preparation of the dust samples and stool samples collected from the participating infants.

Tedd was born and raised in East Brunswick, New Jersey. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, a Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Science from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Master of Public Health from the University of Toronto. Prior to joining Dr. Scott's group at University of Toronto, Tedd taught middle school science in the public school systems in North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
