to increased apoptosis of epithelial cells
- typically
associated with anthraquinone laxative use
- chronic colitis
- chronic
granulomatous disease
- bamboo leaf extract
Gross features:
- Normal or
brownish mucosa
Histologic features:
- Macrophages
in the lamina propria with brown pigment
