·         Urothelial cells with hyperchromatic smudged chromatin (‘decoy’ cells

·         Acute tubular interstitial nephritis

·         Tubular cells with enlargement and nuclear clumping, irregularity, and hyperchromatism

·         Smudged, basophilic appearance

·         Collecting ducts first affected
