Epidemiology and Etiology:

• Infiltration of eccrine sweat ducts by infiltrating basaloid cells

Common sites:

• lumbosacral

Gross features:

• nodule with a constricted base
• pink to flesh-colored

Histologic features:

• elongated, branched, and trabeculoar strands of basaloid cells
• symmetrical
• extend deep in dermis
• basal palisading
• stromal retraction is uncommon
• eccrine ducts within some strands
• fibromucinous stroma
• stromal-stromal separation may be present
• may see:
• horn cysts
