Epidemiology and Etiology:

·         Most common tumour of infancy

·         Usually appears in first few weeks of life

·         Female predominance

 

Common sites:

·         Head

·         Neck

·         trunk

 

Gross features:

·          

 

Histologic features:

·         Highly cellular lobules (early lesion)

·         Densely apposed capillaries

·         Little or no lumen formation

·         Mitoses usually present

·         Perineural infiltration maybe

Useful to exclude a low-grade malignant process
