Adenomatoid Tumour

 

Epidemiology:

    • Wide age range from adolescence to elderly

 

Common sites:

    • paratesticular
      • upper pole of epididymis

 

Gross features:

    • well circumscribed
    • firm
    • white to tan
    • < 5cm

 

Histologic features:

    • solid to cystic tubules and cords
      • scattered individual cells
      • occasionally sheet-like clusters
    • vacuolated cells
      • flattened to cuboidal
      • may see signet rings
      • abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm
    • fibrous or hyalinized stroma
    • minimal invasion of testis may be seen
