February 2002, A Comic completed in the back-row of class in under 2 minutes

One of the foundations of all comic drawing is the impromptu comic, with each participating artist alternating frames. Hence, here is a collaboration between myself and Erik Watson-Hurthig. My initial idea started when I went to the Galbraith first floor Men's washroom and noticed it had a room number. I thought that was strange and wondered what kind of funny things might come out of it. So I drew the first two frames and Erik did the next two and I finished the last 2. The original was lost so I had to reproduce the entire comic by memory.

January 2002, The Ultimate Toilet

Back in Grade 10 I was taking a grade 11 class. Me and this guy Bobby Lee became good friends as we both came up with hilarious shit. This particular idea was one of them. It's still been mentioned over the years and I finally decided to finalize some details on paper. I know it sounds weird but if you ever meet me, allow me to explain to you in person what exactly the ultimate toilet is and you'll immediately want to sit on one. Cheers.

January 2002, Bird Shitting on Man

This is one of my 'freelance' comics that I did not ask for credit on. It was based on an initial concept by Imelda Nurwisah. Suprisingly I got some good feedback on this one. Enjoy.

This is pretty self explanatory. Note: We actually do this. This is not a joke. Paul Dabrowski gets credit for doing the details of this drawing, where I merely provided the backdrop, some ideas, and the digital touch-up.

October 2001, Map of Flavour Country in the Style of Tolkien

I had an idea to make a map of flavour country one day. I had heard a lot of people talking about flavour country when they're eating some great food. It occured to me that this might make a good joke. Then I decided to tie it in to my Adventurer's Mark comic. I doubt anyone saw the connection, but it's these little things that add up to some good embedded humour.
