Cities I lived

Meishan
is big county in Sichuan Province other than a city, nevertheless, it is well-known that a famous Chinese poet living in Song Dynasty, Su Shi or Su Dongpo, was born and resided there. In 1963, I was born in the same place. I lived there and grew up for nearly sixteen years, namely, Meishan is my hometown. In 1979 I graduated from the Meishan High School and left my hometown for beginning my university life.

Tianjin
is a big city directly reigned by the central government of China. During 1979 to 1983, I studied at the Department of Chemistry of Nankai University, Tianjin, and spent a unforgettable time with my teachers and classmates. I learnt a lot of expertises not only on chemistry, but also on other fields, such as skating. Finally I received my B.Sc. there.

Chengdu
is the capital of Sichuan Province, which is renowned of abounding with agricultural products and rare animal--lovely panda. As a teacher working at College of Stomatology, West China University of Medical Sciences, I have lived there since I left Tianjin. In fact it is my 2nd hometown because I have resided in Chengdu for almost 15 years.

Hiroshima
is a beautiful city inspite of the first atomic bomb in the world exploded there. During April to Novermember, 1994, I was invited by the School of Dentistry, Hiroshima University, Japan to work as a guest researcher for the completion of the cooperative project. I had wonferful times with Japanese friends and began to know how to run the computer.

Toronto
is the biggest city in Canada, and it is said that Toronto is the best city to live. After one year staying here, I believe that is true. Since October 30, 1998 I have been working as a visiting scholar at the Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering, University of Toronto, Canada. Here I have so many achievements including the development of novel biomaterials, dexterity of computer application, improvement of English proficiency and so on.
