I am a Ph.D. student of the Photonics group in the Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Univetisty of Toronto, under supervision of Prof. Peter R. Herman. My research interests are design and engineering of optical thin film coating and nanostructuring into three-dimensional photonic bandgap materials (or photonic crystals) and biophotonic devices to enable novel optical stopband and dispersion functionalities. I also design and assemble light delivery, imaging and projection systems, perform nanolithographic fabrication and explore cross-disciplinary applications of photonic structures.
