Brenda Mallouk is known for her energetic teaching style and her popularity
with students. Currently she is a member of the accounting facility at the
University of Toronto. She is also involved in professional accounting
education. Brenda Mallouk has authored many books and articles in the field of
accounting and education. Her research work has appeared in conference
proceedings and journals.
In addition to her teaching experience at the University of Toronto, she has
taught extensively in Central America, the Caribbean, and the People’s Republic
of China.
She is actively involved on many university committees and has received an
Excellence in Teaching Award at the University of Toronto. Her passion is
travelling to exotic locales.

TEACHING AND RESEARCH AREAS
Teaches courses in Management and Financial Accounting. Developed and presents
seminars on "Training the Trainers." Research interests include integrating the real
world in the classroom, teaching effectiveness, teaching teachers to teach,
using the real thing in introductory accounting and more recently a study of
critical success factors to determine success in introductory accounting
courses.
