I almost totally forgot about this blog. I’ll try to begin with where I left off.
The last exam (Japanese), some time ago, went really well. So well I had an hour to spare to double check my answers. Oh yeah it was also the longest exam I’ve taken yet. Easy though.
It snowed a lot these few days. A lot! Yay~
Before:
After:
After the snowing ended, the snow was one hand’s length away from knee deep. And I’m not that short >]
Then... I have no memory of what happened in between till the parties. The first one was at Ken’s place. I was there hours before the party, making two snow hills in the backyard, since Alan brought his snowboard over (for me to airbrush). I had so much fun with it, and apparently it’s gonna be way more fun on an actual mountain. I also took the wheels/trucks of my skateboard and made a snowskate out of it. It’s so uncontrollable, but also a lot of fun. I just place it on top of the hill, run towards it and jump on top of it, then fly~ Too bad I was having too much fun to remember to take pictures.
Ken’s party was basically hotpot, majong, and DDR. I was out backyard-snowboarding when they watched this movie. Most of the people who came were UTCSA people, the club I recently became a ‘General Executive’ in. Photos...
(In the process of Alan’s attempt at 糖水. The result was really good for first try)
I couldn’t find my camera after the first half of the party since I lent it to Irene to torimasu. But forgot to ask for it afterwards.
The second party right after was the UTAMA thing. It was supposed to be an artmeet, aimed to be a productive doujinshi session. I guess it did turn out productive, but crazier things happened here, such as the stripping tournament. I’m glad none of my cousins walked into my room last night. It consisted of an orgy of 8~10 artists and slaves. Yeah, people really signed up to be slaves.
Anyways! I think I was productive enough. I was assigned 6 sides of manga (3 pages) in the doujin project, and I decided to make it a Naruto parody. Not the Itachi one I was doing before. I think this one’s really good. Yes I’m praising my own work ><. Well I’m only gonna show it to people in the project so far, only publicizing it when I’ve inked it and everything. Maybe I even have to get permission to show it because we’re gonna be selling it at Anime North next summer.
During this artmeet people decided to do something really cool called ‘pchat’. Apparently they all get to draw on one big board over several computers, but it doesn’t work with macs. I have yet to find a copy of Windows XP I could use =[
(pchatting. Mengling and the thralls.)
(pchatting. Yvie and Don)
(Bluefeather’s amazing tablet!)
(I find this picture very otaku. Like, almost symbolic)
(my very traditional workspace)
(...yeah. Yvie was teaching us how to draw on computer and... it got carried away. Yuwing decided the man should have octopus ears and it kinda went to tentacles and someone suggested there should be a fifth one and a rainbow ribbon on it... haha it got kinda disturbing.)
The stripping tournament is basically one person challenges the second to strip one piece of clothing by stripping one themselves, until one gives up or has nothing else to strip. Don’t worry it never got to the nothing left point. The worst was to boxers only. Oh and the loser has to sit on Don’s lap, because it was his birthday. Like this:
(Yeah I was against this three-layered-socks 5+ layered clothing/pants eskimo monster.)
(And so I lost)
There are so so so many more pictures but I find most of them too disturbing to post <_< I’ll leave them to Yvie.
(I woke up last. First thing I saw was camera.)
(We used the slaves for cooking too)
Too bad most of the stuff I drew today was manga. I guess I could post the angel drawing I did, and maybe the scrap paper.. art section. Drawing angel wings are really fun, and also the angel itself because there’s so much freedom in posture provided by the possibility of flight. It’s not done yet:
It’s on large paper so I couldn’t scan it. I darkened the picture so that the pencil lines are not as invisible in this small frame. But it still doesn’t show any detail. I’m gonna learn to color this on photoshop once i finish the line art.
I think my drawing skills improved.
