“There are few courses at other universities that could be considered equivalent. So, even if a student has 3 years of engineering, art or science, they will be applying to Year One architecture.” - University of Waterloo School of Architecture

I’ve re-planned my university career. I’m applying for U Waterloo again, twice (Fall 2008 and 2009). I really should’ve realized earlier.

Requirements:
English SL 75% equiv.
Math HL 70% equiv.
IB Physics SL 70% equiv
Portfolio, precis test, interview, AIF form.
Tranfer credit for IB 5 and above =]

I didn’t even get to the interview stage because they changed the Math SL requirement to Math HL during March 2007... shattered my hope mercilessly.

Plan A:
Apply for Fall 2008 at UWSA (University of Waterloo School of Architecture); Work insanely on math second semester, pull all grades to mid-B’s; Compile portfolio during Christmas break. If this fails (most likely)...

Plan B:
Apply for Fall 2009 at UWSA; do not continue to 3rd year physics courses, go for history/art/environmental courses instead (recommended on their admission page, and a chance to pull up GPA); take math courses that covers advanced functions, vectors, discrete math, and geometry. Make a very very awesome portfolio. If this fails, I’ll just graduate at UT.

Not that I’m not satisfied with UT or anything, it’s just that Waterloo is lots more pwnage xD

Okay I’m going back to math studying. Exam tmr! The anxiety of a full multiple choice paper ><
