RGB5371HS   - 20071         Wisdom Literature: Job, Qoheleth, Wisdom of Solomon         Michael Kolarcik
Methodology and Bibliography:
The issues of life and death, understood  from the perspective of community (corporate personality) and the individual, were prime concerns of Israel's Wisdom Tradition. The books of Job, Qoheleth and the Wisdom of Solomon specifically cover Israel's spectrum of concern for justice and life in the Wisdom Tradition. Through a literary analysis of each book we will study the particular perspective on life and death which each book discloses. (Knowledge of Hebrew and Greek is presumed).
