LETS GO TO 2008

jeffs film career

in the summer of 2008 i attended a summer camp in which we did various projects every day. one of such projects was a claymation animation

the first thing we were instructed to do was to create clay characters. then we were given a video camera to record 1 second long stills of the clay figures.

that was all the instructions we got.

fortunately some of us were experienced auteurs of film so we were familiar with high end editting software: windows movie maker.

we popped our recordings onto the computer and threw in a single take audio track using a webcam microphone to accompany the footage

this is the end result that our 10 and 9 year old selves came up with. please enjoy:

not bad if i do say so myself, there's some impressive production design and cinamontography. not quite at kubrick level yet, but i'd say we landed somewhere between spielberg and nolan

also that summer camp is how i learned to use html to make websites. without that summer camp, jeffs castle would not exist
