Those Months in Rob:
August, 2004
52nd Anniversary:
My grandparents had an anniversary party last weekend
and they invited all their friends and it was pretty big. They usually don't
have an big party, but they didn't have one for their 50th and everyone
complained and they kind of did want one after all. And my grandma wanted
my and my sisters to do stuff. So we wrote a little song and sang it in german
and english. My grandparents liked it a lot, but we kind of felt like we were
little kids... lol. And after the restaurant we all went back to my grandparents
house and ate (well we were all pretty full... so not so much eating, but there
was lots of food), drank and sang (well only the older people sang... german
songs) long into the night (well like 12, but it felt late).
The Funeral:
I went to Jonathan's funeral on Thursday. It was really sad :(. And
Courtney gave a speech about her brother being born and growing up, and it was
so sad :*(. I got there a little late at the beginning and i felt really awful...
I didn't mean to be late... but i had to iron my own shirt this morning, and at
first i didn't have the heat on high enough (cuz i didn't want to ruin my shirt)
so then i turned it high and after a bit it seemed to be working and i got the
bad stuff out. But then i notice big areas where i ironed were slightly bluer
than the the other areas! So i had to go over everything trying to make sure the
shirt was all the same colour :(. Then i sped all the way to the church and it
only took me 5 min, but i had to park kind of far so i got there i bit late...
It was a very sad day though, and even though they had lots of jokes during the
funeral, cuz he was a funny happy guy, there weren't any happy faces at the
cemetery... :(
Guestbook:
Woah, lots of guestbook signings...
So i'll start at the top... Thanks again Vikky.
Ya... great game nick... that hats not very flattering
though...
And you should've been talking about that movie, Tanya... i
like my version better...
Oh and here's an explanation about the guestbook:
There's a bad word stopper, so i played around with it to
screw people up. ASS = @$$, shit = Schlitz (good crappy beer), and mother fucker
(notice the space) = motherfucker (one word!). I made fuck = fuck, now so i
don't know it you can type it. But i like the @$$ociation, that was good.
Oh and sorry about the appendix thing... i just couldn't
really think of anything else and things exploding gives more action...
And tanya - NO SINGING! there are no children...
Rex Banner:
Hehe that name is from the simpson's and it fits so well, cuz i'm a king
and now i have a banner... not too mention the segue i'm gonna have
later...
I like the font a lot! It's really cool! And I like the ducks... they're
cute... :). The character Tanya should be talking about is Ducky from
The Land Before Time. That was such a great movie. With Littlefoot and Sarah
and Flyer and the one that didn't talk.... and Sharptooth! (a Tyranosauus Rex -
see... it connects) And Littlefoot's mom dies... that was so sad... (hey i was
like 6 leave me alone...) So Ducky (who was a girl hadrowhateversaurus with a
duckbeak) had the cutest voice and was so happy or really sad... so the ducks
are okay, lol.
Mexican Barbeque:
I guess it wasn't as bad as i thought. I avoided most of the
whole thing. (After i explain what it is, that'll sound bad...) There are
migrant Mexican workers who come to work on farms and stuff in Pickering. My dad
met them somehow and started a clothing drive for them. So every year we have a
barbeque in out back yard and let them take whatever clothes they want, and
donate the rest to some clothing charity thing. They all speak spanish though,
and it's not fun and i don't like being around my parents/strangers so i avoid
most of it. (I help out before and after though) I just want to make clear, this
shouldn't show that my parents are good people in any way. This year was okay,
but last year i got stuck taking care of kids of people who help the mexicans
and i know some kids are nice, but a lot are horrible... Oh and my dog attacked
a guy cuz she thought he was gonna take her bone, but she only ripped his pants
a bit and she's never actually hurt anyone bad, lol.
Rob's Sleep Journal 1:
Hehe... i slept a lot in first year...the engineering and society
class was so boring... i either didn't go to the lectures (and definitely not to
the tutorials...even though they were good...) or i slept through
most of the hour. The teacher was blind... so he wouldn't notice... and he
yelled a lot so it reminded me of falling asleep at home...lol. Luckily for me
the first semester people only had to be able to write words on a page for half
an hour to pass, so i didn't fail even though i knew basically nothing going
into the exam...
Cable Car Party
My grandma's neighbour asked if my sister and I
could help with a party their daughters were having. My grandma said okay and
since my parents didn't want to leave before Sunday anyway... we were kind of
stuck doing it. One of the daughters was from San Francisco, so they called it a
cable car party (cable car is a drink too). So besides helping with some of the
food stuff, me and my sister were making and serving the drink for about 5
hours... and these people were taking them as fast as we could make them!
At the end though, they gave us each a $100! So we were kinda happy, even
though the smell of lemons and sugar makes us sick now...

Cough It Up
My sister was soooo full this morning. (How full was she?!) Well, she gets mucus in her throught sometimes, so she was coughing over the sink a bit after breakfast. And after some coughs, she coughed up some breakfast. Seriously, you can only fit so much in a stomach before it fights back. (My sister is not buleamic and i didn't see this happen she told me...) Ya it's kind of disgusting... but funny that she only felt really full and didn't even expect it.
Funny Story
Oh man the other day, my grandpa was bringing the boat in to there dock, but he was coming in at a bad angle cuz it was windy. So i hopped out to the front and tried to grab onto the dock before the boat hit it and bounced away. I was too late though and the boat was already moving away so i tried stepping on the dock with one foot on the boat... unfortunately it didn't work and i fell in the water... Well at least then i could pull the boat in...
My grandparents, my sisters and my sister's boyfriend were all laughing at me... And my grandma even had the video camera out.... but... it wasn't recording.
The Fourth Meal of the Day
Lol, some time Homer said he discovered a meal between lunch and dinner (i think he said that, maybe it was breakfast and brunch...) Well anyway,
here we call that meal "Tea" (or "Tee" in german, pronouced 'tay'...). We don't always
have tea with "tea", but there's always lots of cake or pie or some kind of desert.
And I mean lots... pretty much a meal...
In germany the have "tea" too. It seems more like how the british have it, except with more cakes...
So i'm eating 4 meals a day... sounds fun... but it can actually be painful sometimes...
well more like most of the time...
Breakfast At Oma's: The Tea
Almost every morning for breakfast, my grandmother gives us "smart
tea". "Smart tea" is a special mix of swedish herbs my
grandmother preserves in gin or vodka. She puts a teaspoon with our tea.
Naturally, it's supposed to make us smarter by washing the garbage out of our
brains. And as fun as alcohol in the morning sounds to some people... the herbs
are so bitter you can barely taste anything for a few seconds after taking a
sip. The tea always leaves my tongue kind of numb, and I never know what tea we
have in the morning, cuz it's always so bitter. So far it hasn't killed me and
we've been having it since we were kids, and i don't really have a choice, so i
just drink it down and try to regain feeling in my tongue.
Next Week: The Fourth Meal of the Day
Breakfast At Oma's
Oh man, I'm so full... it hurts, i'm so full.... My grandmother always makes so
much for breakfast. On top of that she makes a plate of fruit for us (me
and my sisters) that we have to eat, no matter how full we are. Last year she
made us so much fruit it was falling over the side of the little plates.
Apparently, 1/2 and Apple, 1/2 an Orange, 1/2 a Banada, a whole bunch of
cherries and 1/2 a peach or plum is only 2 serving of fruit! The fruit
could have been it's own meal! Well we complained about it and then she stopped
giving us fruit for breakfast, but made sure we still at least ate an apple a
day. This year she's giving us fruit again, but not as much.
Next week in Breakfast at Oma's: The TEA
=>So, this weeks been okay, i started decorating my hardhat, and i must
say, its going to be the bitchin'est Simpsons hardhat ever, cuz my sisters
helping me and i'm gonna waterproof it later on.
In other news i've also been working on my top secret Triple M comic, and even
my sister thought it was funny, so maybe you will too....
Oh and did you watch TV last night (Tuesday night) !! Then check out the TV
section!
Nothing really to say about my life though... still in North Bay and being
really full all the time and i've been cutting lots of grass, but thats about
it. ttyl.
=>First of all. HaHa to Portugal and Czech. Nobody saw Greece coming
and I hope the World Cup won't be as random...
So this week...:
Well house plans got messed up due to lack of time and
Viktor...
I got to see some fireworks on Canada Day. Some
were supposed to be shaped like hearts and stars, but they came out weird and
Sam thought a couple we socks at first.
And I'm at my grandparents where my grandma fed us way too
much and it really hurt and then we had salad. Oh... its almost time for
dinner. (the pain! even though its really good...) Well at least I'm doing my
stomach stretches...
June, 2004
=>Uh... so... nothing funny as really happened this week so this is it:
I was cutting grass today. It was kind of scary cuz my dad spilt gas all
over the lawnmower and mumbled something about that's how he burnt/blew up the
last one (i'm not sure). So we waited about 15 minutes before my dad told me to
cut the lawn again... So as i'm cutting the grass, these insane birds start
flying by really close. Like straight at my head. So all in all
besides getting mud out of the well, its been a very scary day...
=>On Tuesday me and dan were at the subway after house looking and his train came first and i said bye and stuff and then it kept going! We were like what the crap, and i was scared mine wouldn't come cuz kind of running late and i had to be at union by 9:13. So the southbound came.... and went... So i was pissed... and we decided the subway was on crack. But then both trains came and stopped. So i was going to union and on the way to St. Andrew the train stopped... and that was just great... stupid subway, but then it started up after a minute and i made it on the GO train with 2 minutes to spare.
=>Ach... Italy and Germany are out of the EuroCup.... Germany did lose
its last game, but Italy was so close...who would have guess the 2-2 tie (the
only way for italy not to move on) was going to happen....but i'm sure no one
planned it...
What if Rob had his own country?
I know everyone has asked themselves this question, some time or another....
Well, in the crappy grade 10 course "Civics" we had to design rules
and laws for a Lord of the Flies type situation and here are some of those rules
(i can't take all the credit for these, i had a pretty messed up group):
Laws:
- If you kill, you get killed in the same way (unless in self defense). Possible
death by monkeys.
- Everything, except food, must be shared if someone asks for or needs
something, but only after the other person says they're done, unless a fatality
may be caused before they're done.
- You must be with 3 other people at all times, except when going to the
washroom, bathing, changing and sleeping.
- Must not cause physical or mental harm to anyone, especially to influence
them, unless there is good reason.
- Withholding information or material, including fire, is a punishable offense.
Ruler(s):
- Monkey King/communism.
Rights/Freedoms/Obligations:
- Have the right sleep from the end of the sunset meeting to the sunrise.
- Obligated to attend a meeting at sunset for dinner and for people to voice
their concerns.
- Obligated to work at least 3 hours a day at assigned or traded job unless
unable to do so.
- Obligated to help someone who may be hurt if you do not help.
- The right to speak at meeting when holding the conch.
- Right to accuse anyone of any offense
- Obligated to hold trials at sunset meeting, unless the person is accused of
killing or a withholding offense.
=>Oh man, last sunday, my family and me went downtown to look at a house for next year (which we aren't getting cuz the dumbass landlord gave it to someone else..., but he was kind of sketchy anyway, so its probably for the best). And after we saw the apartment, my dad took us to a gelato place he knew, cuz he lived in the area before. So we got our ice cream quick (cuz my dad, parked in an illegal spot...) and were sitting in the car. So my dad shifts into reverse, but it doesn't work... the belt broke and the car won't go out of park. We had some family in the area though at least, so my uncle drove us back home. But it was pretty good ice cream (hmmm lemone).
