Those Months in Rob:

Some Time in the Summer 2006:

Tales of Lindsay
Sometime in June

I've been helping my Dad fix up the new house in Lindsay. My parents are gonna be moving there in a couple years when the company that bought our Pickering house kicks us out.
DAY 1: Shoveling
I started out with shoveling granite stones. Anyone who knows about shoveling knows that shoveling stones is by far the hardest thing to shovel (cept for maybe molasses...) Eventually I got to shovel sand and dig some ditches, which was a lot easier. Ended the day with cutting grass.
Blister Count - 1 with 2 potential spots
DAY 2: Allergies
We ran out of allergy medicine, but I didn't think that one day would be that bad without it. It was. I don't remember much of the day except for painfully itchy eyes and constant runny/sneezy nose.
        Blister Count - 2 full, 1 popped
DAY 3: So Hungry
The morning went pretty well. We were late building one part, so luckily the inspector was able to come back an hour later. We needed the approval so we can move to the next part of building which came about 20 min after the inspector left. The cement trucks are cool, but cement is heavy to move/shovel around. And just as we finished up setting the cement, the second inspector of the day came to check out the septic tank. So everything went pretty smoothly, but I didn't get to eat lunch until 3:30...
Blister Count - 2 half-full, 1 with dirt in it...

Yahtzee!
Sometime in May

Dan got me and Megan to go to the free Fallout Boy concert at Yonge and Dundas Square. Then we went to the mall. Megan needed shoes, Dan needed a backpack, so me and dan went and looked at toys. This eventually made me want to play Yahtzee. So I brought them to my place and we played Yahtzee with Angelo. It was the best I’ve ever played. First I got a yahtzee. Then I rolled a full house (1st try) and on my next turn I rolled another yahtzee. I think I also got everything but 5’s and the 35 pt bonus. I ended up with a 344 score!

Then we played Scrabble and I technically won, but we all agreed the end game rules are of questionable fairness. And over half my tiles were always vowels. Fun times

2 Cars – 5 People

May 29th was a crazy day. Everyone in my family was home and we all needed a car. My Dad left first early in the morning to Lindsey, to cut grass and work on the new house. Then we hear about TTC strike and all that traffic to make the day better. I had an interview in Pickering at 11:30, but my Mom had a dentist appointment at 11:15 and my sister needed to go to the mall. So dropped sister and then mom off and got to my interview early. It went well. Then I picked my Mom up and went home. My other sister had an interview in Brampton at 3, so my mom drove her at 1 and then waited until after the interview for my sister’s boyfriend to pick take my sister to stay in Mississauga for her interview there tomorrow.

The first sister came back from the mall with her friend. Her friend left and my dad came home. I went to the movie’s at 6:40 and my Dad had soccer at 7. My Mom finally came home at 7:30, so my sister could visit her soon to be married friend in Newmarket. My Dad picked my up from the movies after he was done with soccer. Then my sister came home.
