Challenge
To design a yearbook cover to be used for the 2003/2004 edition of our yearly school yearbook, WISDOM, working as a team of graphic designers
The theme of the yearbook this year has been decided to be - Decades
 
Design 1
The original design called for a mosaic of newspaper articles as the background, darkened to downplay its attention from the title, of which sits on a film of different shades of white. This idea was not chosen in the end because of its similarity to a past issue of the yearbook.		   Design 2
Here, the colours between the background and stripe were reversed to distinguish it away from the past issue. The colour of the title has also been changed to give a more elegant effect.
 
Design 3
Similiar to the idea of Design 2, but this time including an oversized "2004" in the background to annouce the issue of the yearbook.		   Design 4
After meeting with the graphics team, it was decideded that a gold background font was too flashy and stole focus away from the title of the yearbook. Therefore, the colour was changed to white to set its attention back.
Design 5
Showing Desgn 4 to the editing team, they had asked for both years, "2003" and "2004" to be visible on the cover. Arrangements were made to put both into the stripe. Also added is the logo of our school on the spine of the cover. This was the final choice for the cover in the end.
