niamo.net

In designing niamo.net, my specification was simple. To allow visitors to easily navigate the large amount of pages in my website. This was easier said then done, as by the time I created niamo.net, I had created two serperate websites, with plans for one more, so this new one was to hold three websites all together.

Organization skills used include using the table functions to create tab like icons along the top bar, colour coding the seperate pages so viwers can easily distinguish them apart.

One page is seperated into two sections, the title and the content. Along with the title, links to different parts of the site are located towards the top, grouped into pages and sub-pages. This allows quicker navigation between the different pages, reducing the number of clicks required to get from one pagae to another.

On the index page, a large area has been reserved for graphics to be shown, and as seen in the screenshot, used for updated news related articles. To the left is a login panel for the email provided, and below that, a box for news update of the website.

The page itself has been put into a large table, allowing it to display properly for the most common resolutions as seen by the research done on the website.

This site uses a large amount of tables, making it much cleaner than my previous websites. As seen in the second screenshot, the subpages all follow the same design, making it much easier for visitors to familiarize themselves witht he overall navigation of the site.
