Took a trip up to Kamigyo-ku to visit a couple of temples on a day in March. A bit early for cherry blossoms, but a few were out.

Kinkaku-ji, the “golden temple”.

Ryoan-ji, where the rock garden is designed so that no matter where you are, you can’t see all the rocks. There are a total of 15.
