Patricia Landolt is currently involved in two research projects: a project on Latin American refugees from Chile, Colombia, El Salvador and Guatemala considers how political cultures affect trajectories of socio-political incorporation; a second study tracks the employment experiences of Latin American and Caribbean immigrants in the GTA with a focus on the impact of transnational livelihoods and legal status on precarity.

Her work falls within the fields of transnational migration, immigrant politics, and precarious employment.  Professor Landolt received her B.A. and M.A. from York University and her Ph.D. from The Johns Hopkins University (2001).  She joined the University of Toronto Scarborough in 2001.
