Identity -"the individual characteristics by which a thing or person is recognized or known"- is the foundational building block that creates a social world allowing people to interact and socialize on the web.

The web is changing so fast that it is hard for some people to find a place to fit into and feel pressured to be part of the "the next trend". Feeling the pressure to fit in is tough especially when one feels unaccepted or ashamed of whom they are in the real world [9].
