How I Got Started
I got into computers in high school. My high school (Oakwood Collegiate in Toronto) had computer courses quite early and I was lucky to have the chance to take them. They were not challenging enough, but still I learned a lot. I had a good understanding of how a computer really works, at the bits and bytes level, very early on and that really helped me.

Programming is something that I like doing and I think I'm pretty good at it. I especially love programming in Perl. It's the best language I've used, and I've used Basic, PL/C, Fortran, and C.

I was very fortunate to have been the instructor for a scientific programming course (thanks, Charles!).

I've been involved in computer graphics programming, and parallel processor programming too.
