I have been given the psychiatric label "Scizo-typal." I have fully developed and separate personalities {"alters"} all of which grew from constant childhood trauma as well as poverty, neglect, and abuse. My presentation was to point out that my alters, far from making me "crazy", have helped me preserve my sanity and given me a gift of innner strength and an ability to cope that I would not have without them. I will also addressed the issue of having been homeless and psychiatrically assaulted for being poverty-stricken.
