Click on the thumbnails below to see the full resolution version! "Platform" Background: This banner was taken on the Dundas streetcar beside the ongoing renovation and expansion project at the Art Gallery of Ontario. The photo was taken by W. Xavier Snelgrove on our way to his house for Sunday Brunch. The quote is adapted from a famous juxtaposition coined by Aeschylus, a famous Greek playwright. "Fun" Background: This photo was taken in the condominium Xavier and I share at Bay & Charles. While cooking our weekly communal dinner (I believe it was a delightful beef stew that week), Xavier requested I turn around and smile for his new camera and lens. Although I had not originally intended to use this for a campaign poster, the plethora of positive reactions from my friends have prompted me to do so. "Look Out" Background: This photo was taken on top of the Manulife Centre located at Bay & Bloor on the patio of the Panorama Restaurant facing north. This interesting eatery is on the 51st floor of the building and offers a fantastic view of the city, although it is a bit pricey. After fiddling with exposure settings for 10 minutes, Xavier finally managed to capture this long-exposure shot. The green glow on my face and jacket comes from the giant, green "Manulife Centre" signs that can be seen all over downtown Toronto. "Spirit" Background: As a F!rosh Leader for the Alpha group at Engineering F!rosh Week 0T7, I decided to start my 2nd year of university education with a bang and opted for the high-strength, F!rosh Leader exclusive, purple dye. This photo was taken in Queen's Park during the campus tour while F!rosh paid their respects to King Edward VII and his horse. "Challenge" Background: This breathtaking vista is located near the top of Mt. Etna, the infamous volcano located in Sicily that is still active to this day (hence the lack of vegetation). Directly behind me is one of Etna's many craters which each mark one of her devastatingly beautiful eruptions in the past. And as a further bonus, here is the full collection of side banners designed for this website. Unfortunately, not all of them made it into the final release. |
