- Workshops and Seminars at the Learning and Teaching Office
The Learning and Teaching Office (LTO) implements a number of specific programs; teaching seminars and workshops, teaching excellence awards, new faculty orientations, a summer institute, an annual teaching conference, a distinguished educator speaker series and the University Teaching Development Program. Some of the topics are on collaborative learning.
Information about all activities of the Learning and Teaching Office is provided regularly on the teachnet listserv. If you subscribe to teachnet, you will receive all notices of programs and activities offered through the LTO.
The Learning and Teaching Office can also direct faculty to a variety of resources related to collaborative learning available at Ryerson Library.

- Register for the Successful Learning Groups at Ryerson University
Students meet in a group that is facilitated by a Learning Strategist for 90-minute sessions for four weeks. These groups provide the opportunity for you to assess your own learning skills and goals; and have input into the learning topics that are addressed in each meeting. Common topics include note-taking, time management, motivation, procrastination, reading comprehension, test preparation, multiple choice tests, and exam strategies. Each week, you will be able to check in about the learning strategies you are implementing and receive feedback to help you to continue developing your skills.
