I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Toronto in the Medical Biophysics department. I previously completed a B.Sc. in math and physics at McGill in my hometown of Montreal. My current project focuses on developing a better understanding of what physical factors affect and limit the quality of medical images used by radiologists, specifically in the context of dual-energy x-ray imaging using flat-panel detectors.

Specific Areas of Research

  •  Dual-energy x-ray imaging for lung cancer detection.

  •  Cascaded systems analysis modeling for system performance evaluation

  • Investigation of model observers in medical imaging.

Education

  •  B.Sc. Mathematics and Physics, McGill University (2003)

  •  Ph.D. (In progress) Medical Biophysics, University of Toronto (2008). Supervisor: Jeff Siewerdsen
