Muskhi

August 7-8th, 2006

Baia's friend Nino had a camera with her, and so we both took photos of Marobabo and her rugs; on the morning before the two of us caught the bus back to Tbilisi, we had a little photo shoot out in the grapevine-covered arch above the dining table outside. The dappled light in those pictures is from the sun coming through the vines, and appears in some of the Sighnaghi photos as well.

Marobabo with a very complicated carpet; the plant dyes in it have softer colours than those that Dat'o makes.

I dearly loved the animals - sheep and cows - that owned Muskhi's paths and streets.

Caves (on the right side of the cliff) from which Georgian archers shot at attacking Turkish forces.
