Operating Instructions

G-Protection G-Protection was developed to protect against sound skipping while jogging, providing a higher level of shock protection than traditional ESP. The G-Protection feature provides 10-times faster shock recovery compared to conventional shock protection systems, so it will easily outperform electronic shock protection (ESP) systems equipped with 40 second buffers. The memory buffer is refreshed so quickly, that it is virtually impossible to make a CD skip. While jogging, the CD player should be used with the supplied hand strap carry case. The G-Protection function can be set to level 1 or 2 by using a switch under the lid. Level 1 is recommended when walking, Level 2 is suggested when jogging or taking "harder exercise".
MP3 Playback This unit can play MP3 files recorded on CD-R and CD-RW discs in ISO9660 Level 1/Level 2 and Joliet formats. Files with a bit rate from 8-320kbps are compatible with this unit. Each disc should have a maximum of 511 folders and 511 files.
CD Text When you play a CD containing CD Text information, the track name, disc name and artist name appear on the display.
ID3 Tag When you play an MP3 CD with ID3 tag (Version 1.1 only) information, the file name, album name and artist name appear on the display.
AVLS (Automatic Volume Limiter System) This feature keeps down maximum volume level to protect your hearing.
Play Modes
- Normal Play: plays tracks in succession
- Single Play: plays a single track
- Single Track Repeat Play: plays the current track repeatedly
- All Track Repeat Play: plays all the tracks on a CD repeatedly.
- In Normal Mode, the unit plays all the files on an MP3 disc repeatedly. In Folder Mode, the unit plays all the files in a selected folder repeatedly.
- Repeat Shuffle Play: repeatedly plays the tracks on a disc in random order. When playing an MP3 disc, the unit repeatedly plays the files on the disc in random order.
- Repeat Folder Play: plays the files in a selected folder repeatedly
- Repeat Folder Shuffle Play: repeatedly plays the files in a selected folder in random order
- Bass Boost: You can emphasize the bass by selecting one of two Bass boost levels. This feature can be turned off.
