Simon's Personal Experiences:
Six years ago, it was a different year for me, because I have changed schools. After graduating from
St.Aidan Elementary School, and Brebeuf College High School. In my first year in Brebeuf, it was tough for me. First, I have to wake up an hour earlier every morning, and second teachers assign a lot homework and assignments. But after a couple of months, I got used to it, the homework isn't that bad. After
five years of experience in high school, I have learned one important thing: "Always finish the work on the same day that the teacher has assigned."
Collecting sports cards is something that I really like. As a card collector, I enjoy buying cards, and trading cards with my friends. I buy cards, because I believe that I can sell my cards for a higher price in the future. I also collect stamps, I have collected stamps for almost six years. I have stamps from a lot of countries, and each stamp has it's unique pictures.
I do not like reading books (especially literacy books), because I find it a waste of time. But sometimes when I get bored or have nothing to do, I like to read non-fiction books. My favorite book is "Animal Farm" which I read in grade nine for English class.
I like it because it is easy to understand. I also like to read scary books, series such as: Fear Street, and Nightmare Hall are my favorites.
During the past two summers, I had a full-time in a factory, working in the storage room, packaging clothes. Now, I have a part-time job in the pool, working as a lifeguard.
Six summers ago, my uncle drove me to Montreal. I found that there are a lot
French people, and most of them do not know how to speak English, so it was difficult to communicate with other people. Last summer, I went to Mexico and Cuba with my family for two weeks. Most people spoke Spanish, so I don't understand them. But fortunately, some people know how to speak English, so it was easier for me to understand them. Overall, my vacation was great. The beach was really nice, and I had a first hand experience in learning the different cultures.
I like listening to music, especially classical music. I think classical music is the best, because it calms me down. Classical music mostly created by
percussion instruments, like piano. I admire a few
pianist, and musicians, such as Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Schubert, and more...
