Torontula has been in existence since 1997, winning one canadian national championship and consistently ranking among the top canadian universities. When the 2005 championships were cancelled the A team ranked third in the nation and the B team looked strong as well. In its first appearance in the UPA college series, Torontula took third in its section behind highly ranked Michigan teams and qualifying for regionals. Both open teams look to improve this year, the A team going for another title and the B team looking to develop and learn.
