When our flight arrives in Vancouver, we're pleasantly surprised to find Peter waiting for us. I strike up a conversation about one of the past IPhO experimental exams. "I think I've done this one before," Peter muses. "Where?" I ask with great interest, "at the University of Calgary?" Amir and I had been fooling around with some lab equipment back at the University of Toronto. "Oh no," he explains with an amused look, "I did it as a thought experiment!"
