I completed my undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Manitoba in 2003, where I graduated with the highest academic standing and was awarded the gold medal in engineering and the Governor General's Academic Medal. Brendan Frey invited me into his Probabilistic and Statistical Inference (PSI) research group at the University of Toronto for my graduate studies in Computer Engineering and I have been working on projects in both computer vision and molecular biology during my doctoral program.
