Internship with Hábitat-Cuba, a Cuban NGO for housing development and urban planning (La Havana and Bayamo, Cuba). As an assistant researcher, I contributed to the elaboration of a "Methodological Guide for Participatory Urban Planning" for Hábitat-Cuba in La Havana; and, as an assistant coordinator, I conducted and assessed the first participatory urban planning project of Hábitat-Cuba in Bayamo.

March - July 1998

Internship with Urbaplan, a Swiss urban planning office (Lausanne, Switzerland). As a research assistant, I conducted two research projects: "Urban entertainment events in French-Speaking Switzerland" and "Social Problems and Urban Planning". My work involved extensive data collection and intensive qualitative research techniques such as in-depth interviews, the writing of two final reports, and the presentation of the results during an internal seminar of Urbaplan.
