This is the third year that I have the opportunity to teach GGR 339 "Urban Political Geography", a third year undergraduate course in the Department of Geography at the University of Toronto (Fall term 2005). I first taught the course during Fall 2003.

In addition, I have been a Teaching Assistant for several courses in the Department of Geography at the University of Toronto, including:

GGR 124 "Urbanization, Contemporary Cities and Urban Life: an Introduction to Urban Geography"
GGR 271 "Social Research Methods"
GGR 326 "Industrial Geography"
GGR 256 "Recreation Geography".

I gained valuable teaching skills through the Teaching Assistants Training Program at the University of Toronto. By attending their seminars and undergoing a micro-teaching session, I was able to complete the TATP's Certificate. Their website offers many online resources for teaching assistants and those who are new to teaching.

From a different perspective, my teaching experience at the University of Toronto would not have been as fulfilling without the Teaching Assistants Union, CUPE (Canadian Union of Public Employees) Local 3202.
