Born in Hubei Province, China, I earned my B. S. and M. S. from Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China, in 1998 and 2001, respectively. After a year of working at Lenovo, Inc., Beijing, China. I went to the National University of Singapore, Singapore for my PhD degree and graduated in 2005. I am currently working as a Lecturer with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at University of Canterbury, New Zealand. Prior to joining UCan, I worked as a Post-Doc Research Associate with the Advanced Micro and Nanosystems Laboratory (AMNL) at the University of Toronto. My current research interest includes micro/nano robotics, visual servo control, computer vision, micro/nano device and manipulation, biomechanics, and sensor integration, with special interest in bio-related applications. |
