- Topic: Network Coding with Overlapped Classes
Main Tasks:
- Proposed the network coding with overlapping generations(or classes), the techique provides
lower decoding complexity and higher probability of successful decoding
- Investigated into the performance of this brand-new class of network coding techique

- Topic: Generating quantum entangled photon pairs
and measuring coincidence

photon pairs

Network Coding
Main Tasks:
- Replayed and analyzed large volume of data traces from real-world P2P live streaming
application and investigate the topological property
- Helped in formulating and Optimizing R2, a highly efficient Random Push and
Randomized Network coding streaming protocols
- Implemented P2P network diagnosis algorithm with distributed network coding

- Topic: P2P Live Streaming with Random Linear
Network Coding
Main Tasks:
- Implemented peer-to-peer live streaming protocols
and algorithms with and without network coding in a
large-scale simulation testbed on Linux server
clusters
- Optimized the design of peer-to-peer live streaming protocols
- Performed emulation on P2P live streaming protocols with and/or without network
coding
- Collected data and evaluated performance and robustness
of these application-layer algorithms by analyzing
traces and data of experiments, drawing comparisons between
protocols with and without network coding
