Day 4 and the girls are still progressing well. Madeline has increased her feeding and now that Emma is off the medication to close her ductus she is also being introduced to brest milk.
We don't have any pictures from our camera today - day 5 - because we forgot to take our camera along! Both of us thought the other was packing it in the bag. That won't happen again. Unfortunately, we missed photographing the first time Nancy got to hold Maddy!!
Maureen once again took a photo of her with the breathing tubes removed.
These are the first photos we've had of her where you can actually see her face. She looks cute! In this photo you can really see that blonde hair of hers. Look at the size of that pacifier compared to her! She's so tiny. Thank you so much to her night nurse for taking this wonderful picture of Maddy with the NICU camera.
When they were finished the study Maddy went onto CPAP like her sister! This for a little girl who the doctors weren't even sure would have lungs at all! She is so tough and she continues to amaze everyone.
This will give you some idea of how small Maddy is. This is one of her nappies (diapers to all you North American types) next to a $5 note. Naturally this is an unused Nappy!
