With the exception of [OffCampus] users, all users are on ResNet. This means traffic is internal and will NOT count towards your ResNet bandwidth limit.
While you are on ResNet, transfers to [OffCampus] will count toward your ResNet bandwidth limit.
Currently, ResNet <-> Offcampus Connections via DC are not enabled.
While you are on UTORwin, all traffic will count toward your bandwidth limit UNLESS you are connected from a library via ethernet cable.
There are several ways. The magnifying glass icon at the top will open up the search field.
Alternatively, type "/search " in the main chat, folllowed by your query. Note however, that the MAIN CHAT itself is NOT a search field.

- Add The Bento (this hub) onto your favorite hubs (the star button on ApexDC++).
- Once you have added this hub onto it, right click on the hub (while in Favorite Hubs tab).
- Click Properties. In the window that pops up, there should be a way for you to set your connection to Passive Mode.
- Do that, click ok. Reconnect to The Bento.
- Please note that you will NOT be able to connect to anyone else that is in Passive Mode.
- Life isn't fair, deal with it.
For Shakespeer (Apple) @ 89 Chestnut & Victoria College
- Shakespeer Preferences.
- Then Network
- Under Connection Mode, select passive.
- Save/confirm/etc. your changes (if applicable).
- Reonnect to The Bento.
- Once more please note that you will NOT be able to connect to anyone in Passive Mode.

For Linux @ Anywhere but Chestnut

If you are NOT from Chestnut/Vic, then you are probably behind a firewall/router.
- You will need to port-forward your DC client, which should be Apex (unless you're on a Mac). Seek help at www.portforward.com (or consult an op, if you're illiterate).
- If it STILL doesn't work, then you may use passive mode, as described above, but please consult an OP first. Passive mode is bad for everyone.
Windows Crapsta? (aka Vista?) You just need to go into the properties of the ApexDC++.exe file and set to "run in administrator mode"
For Windows 2000, XP, Vista
- Use the CCCP codec pack, it's standard in the English Fansubbing Community. You can download the codec pack at http://cccp-project.net/
- Alternatively, you can use K-Lite Codec Pack (formerly recommended by The Nut's OPs for general video playback). K-Lite can be found at http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm
- For great results, use Media Player Classic (included in CCCP), or JetAudio (http://www.cowonamerica.com/download/) as your media player.
- For best h264 playback (generally .mkv or .mp4), use Media Player Classic (included in CCCP), and CoreAVCPro (find it off someone on the hub; ie. z).
- For CoreAVC Pro 1.6.0.0 or above
- Run the Installer & KeyGen. Do NOT install Haali Media Splitter, it's already part of CCCP.
- Note: The 1.6.5.0 keygen works for 1.7.0.0 to 1.9.0.0 as well
- Wait till Installation is complete
- Open CCCP Settings (default is "C:\Program Files\Combined Community Codec Pack\settings.exe")
- Uncheck the H.264 checkbox. Click "Next". Click "Apply".
- Celebrate!
For Mac OS X (Panther, Tiger, Leopard)
- Although Macintosh is and always will be the root of evil, we suggest that you use VLC as your media player. It should play everything; however, quality playback is NOT guaranteed.
- VLC can be acquired at: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
- If playback using VLC is poor or non-existent, purchase yourself a Windows system.
- Or if you're really cheap (and have Tiger or Leopard), go install Windows on your Apple using BootCamp (support for BootCamp not provided here).
For Linux

RMVB, WMV, DPG

Pringer X is a very strong robotic prinny. It was first shown to be an imaginary being shown in Etna's false chapter previews in Disgaea with a mention of its reincarnation, Pringer Z. The real thing showed up in Phantom Brave after the defeat of Baal. It is a robotic looking black prinny with two antennas sticking out of its head, glowing red eyes, a marking on its stomach and a cape.
