Summary
Diagnosis: Legionnaire's Disease
Clinical hints:
Acute onset of fever, cough, and purulent sputum. May lead to
major metabolic and systemic problems if not correctly
treated.
Radiological Pearls:
- widespread infiltrates
- usually involves both lungs
- often with effusions
- may have cavitary changes and show a "wild x-ray"
pattern
