Case
Summary
Diagnosis: Pulmonary Edema
Clinical hints:
Patients often have a history of heart disease and of bouts of
pulmonary edema. The radiologic findings are more sensitive
than the physical examination in early edema.
Radiological Pearls:
- classic peri-hilar air-space edema
- typical peripheral "black lung"
- often pleural effusions seen
- cardiac size most often enlarged
Films were kindly provided by Dr. Dr. W. J. Weiser.
