About the project

The project to be undertaken will be in the form of an audio-visual production, prepared over the 2006 Christmas break by St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic High School alumni. This project is entitled U2U, encompassing the goal of aiding students (you, the audience) to university and bringing the university atmosphere to students (again, you, the audience).

The primary focus of the videos will focus on the important factors to consider in choosing the right post-secondary institution. The student audience will be immersed in a post secondary setting and informed about the major factors to consider when deciding upon post-secondary education. The videos to be produced will be 5-6 minutes in length, comprised of some on-campus footage and interviews with STL alumni.



Currently, we are looking at producing 5-6 episodes, to be played over the lunch break in March 2007. Due to technical difficulties experienced, the final airing date has been postponed to May 2007. The production may or may not be made in time for selection of a post-secondary institution, but its content covers the commonly asked questions with regards to post-secondary life.

This website will further be developed for students to visit, where questions and/or concerns could be posted and directed to STL alumni directly. The website will be fully operational by January 2007. The fees incurred by the project (including travel, recording media, etc.) will be funded as much as possible by STL alumni. The budget required for this project is $500.00. We are currently also investigating the possibility of advertisement sponsors for this project.

Latest Milestones

- June 6, 2007: Final Academics Video Production completed!

- May 2007: Input received from YCDSB regarding content.

- April 2007: Technical problems with video footage experienced.

- March 2007: Footage submitted to school & board for content preliminary approval.
