I grew up in Toronto, and spent my weekends enjoying nature at my cottage in northern Ontario.  I got married in November 2010, and am living happily with my husband in downtown Toronto.

I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree at McGill University in Montreal, with a major in humanistic studies and a minor in political science.  I then received a Master of Science degree in Urban Policy Analysis and Management from Milano The New School, in New York City.  Currently I am a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto in the Faculty of Forestry, under the direction of Sandy M. Smith.
