sayonara summer is over - tbg
Summer is almost over...time sure flies by when there is no school eh? What have I been up to for the past 2 months? Not much, it has been pretty boring. Here are some things I did worth mentioning.
1. Modeling. Right after the algeo exam, I went with Carl to the hobby store to find a model to build. Let me tell you now, model building is an expensive hobby. We both agreed to build an Integra Type R (I love this car) and have an awesome photoshoot when we complete the model. This car took me a month to complete. I have to admit it was disastrous at first, I totally screwed up the priming job (two times!) and lowering the car was a pain. I thought it was going to turn out like crap during some stages of the build. In the end though, it turned out really nice. By the way, please do not play with your models, when I dropped mine three suspension snapped, the rear spoiler came off, as well as both side mirrors. That was painful. Don’t worry, as you can see, I fixed it so good it never looked like it has ever been dropped.
2. Camping. Hmm, I hate it? The drive to Bon Echo was five long hours. My ass was hurting when I finally stepped out of the car. Anyways, the place was mosquito infested! Alright alright, that was to be expected but that still did not change the fact that it was mosquito infested!!! Sleeping in tents was cool and canoeing was fun. There was a lot of spare time though. I was also kind of wishing something crazy would happen, like getting attacked by squirrels. Haha, ok that was stupid.
3. Darknights! It was great last year, especially with our small group, and the fact that it was my first import car show. This year was no exception. Some of the cars were awesome, but most of them were not that great. However, there were a lot more girls this time! The TRD booth was awesome, I really have to give credit for
4. AS Roma vs. Celtic. This game was sweet. Seeing a soccer field in Skydome was something new. Watching a professional soccer game was too. We were sitting behind the net, allowing us to watch the game from a great angle. Funny things that happened included two guys that ran onto the field, one of them got tackled by security but the other ran through all the players and escaped after jumping back into the crowd on the other side!
5. Danny's BBQ. Fun fun fun. Thanks to Kev for driving me. Thanks to Derek for cooking. Thanks to Jess for PoT. Thanks to Danny for organizing. And thanks to everybody else who killed me in Halo.
