About Me

I joined the Matthews' Lab in 2006 as a Masters student. My research project examined the functional domains of the estrogen receptor alpha involved in its dioxin-dependent recruitment to aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) target regulatory regions. After graduating, I rejoined the Matthews' Lab as a PhD student where my thesis project was to characterize 2,3,7,8-tetrachloro-dibenzo-p-dioxin-inducible poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (TiPARP). My thesis research describes TiPARP is a mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase and a ligand-induced negative regulator of AHR.
